Up, up and away~

Up we go 135m above the sea level at the very windy and cloudy day...where you see the night view of one of the world's busiest city (and my personal favourite city at times) for half an hour one will be mesmeriesed by the pretty sight of the city, the lights, the sunset...

Being in one of the 32 capsules, we manage to have a good view of the city including some of the very significant landmarks in pretty lights ie House of Parliment, St Paul's Cathedral, River Thames etc etc...

Let me just show u that place...
(p/s: i didn't take that picture... )

Yes I am up in the London eye, the world's tallest observation wheel at 135m high at one of the evenings in year 2006. It wasnt a really pleasant day coz it was quite cloudy, but still we manage to get into one of the capsules and have a good night view of London. The queue looks really long but it only take us 5-10 minutes to get into the eye...well the crowds are moving really fast.
And for the next half an hr, we are in one of the capsules looking over London. Never thought that London will look so good during the night though it is a lil cloudy on that day. At least it didnt rain =)

<-- I took that pic from London eye ^_^

But we kinda missed the sunset coz it is so dark and to be honest u cant really tell when is sunset. It is a good feeling to be on top of the wheel, looks as if you are on the top of the world, getting to see the birds eye view of London. However as you are way up high inside the capsule, one can actually hear the wind!! And i am serious coz it is really really windy on that day!!!

And when both of us get off the London eye, as expected the wind is really strong. So walking straight will be a problem =) (C'mon peeps i am really really serious!!!!)

It wasn't a really good weather but at least we had a good time up there right???

Haha thinking of some "small kid" getting over hysterical about going up London eye...at least that is a wish fulfilled ^^

Oh well no one will believe what i just said...

Anyway that is one of the 4 week xmas vacation holiday plan...

And now the next day comes~~

An hour train from London to Oxfordshire, and a 5-10 minute taxibus ride and we reach one of my favourite place..or to be honest a shopping heavan for the shopaholics

Good place...to be honest =) For us i think...haha guess ur wallet/ purse have to be on diet for some time ^^

So an hr journey took us to this very amazing place. It is a peaceful lil village, with LOADS of shops, with loads of people but amazingly one dont feel as if they are in a huge crowd. So much better than oxford circus (oxford street is utter rubbish) And the best part their shop houses are so darn cute!!! Looks like cottages!! NO wonder it is called bicester "village". And it looks really really posh!!

Those are some of the stores that one might see in bicester village~

Shops are meant to be visited as early as possible so that one can have enough time to browse through everything. We left quite early for the place on a saturday morning. The weather is perfect for shopping ^^ not too cold, not to hot (in fact i think its a lil hot for winter...we walked around without jackets!!) , great sunshine, no strong winds!! So much better than yesterday....

A perfect start for a good shopping trip...

After an hr or so we reached Bicester Village. Thou there are some events that almost lead us into missing the correct stop as that train station is just so small and there aren't any prominent signs showing that we are approaching the station. Anyway we still manage to be alert and get off on time =)

So this started at approximately 11am and i think it lasted for 6 and a half hours, no food no drinks!!!!
And as usual, people like me just cannot resist the temptations of walking into those stores and have a good look at all those good stuffs, from bags to shoes to clothes.. From Dior to Polo Ralph Lauren to Jimmy Choo to DKNY to cK.
..

As i used to tell my friends, the propere british museums to me are things like Harrods and Selfridges. Good to see, nice to touch... but they are damn ex in those places. And Bicester village serve as a good 'museum' Lol
(not exactly a museum but a place which is a good walk for me and at the same time for me to keep fit^^ told u shopping is a form of exercise but no one believes me T_T)

And btw, Jimmy Choo shoes really live up with its name. They are just so gorgeous and darn comfortable!! But the prices are still damn damn damn ex... that's why those places are just like art gallery with an exhibition of shoes and bags..

the day went on really really well 'til when it reaches late afternoon, then it start pouring. And guess what, my shoes (and socks) are soaked with water!!! and our shopping is half done!!! not completed!!!!
but anyway we still survived and we manage to get ourselves some really good bargain of stuffs ^^ weeeee.....
and that adds on to my collection of bags!!! Everyone loves it so do I =) thx for that very good 眼光~

<---One of the stores in Bicester Village : things there are damn ex...but there is one of the bags that make me drool.... but i am glad that i didnt get it =P So much of those blings=) everything in that place is damn ex (DUH~~)

Another art gallery of shoes and bags just like Jimmy Choo

And one of the best part, self satisfaction!! After the one quarter of the day shopping trip, no doubt £
££ has to be spent, but considering that one gets things which are much more cheaper than normal prices, one cant help but to have a huge smile in their heart =)

FAQ:
Satisfying trip?? u bet it is...
what happens next?? need to save up for the rest of the year i think....
Good bargain?? obviously
More of it next time?? Duh~~ what a question to ask
Having a good time?? DUH!! That is not a question, it's a statement =)

Anyway dude, thx for coming with me to bicester Village =) can we have more of those events next time??
but still sorry that i teach u to become one of my kind---shopaholics!!
As the chinese saying goes --> 青出于蓝而胜于蓝 (direct translation : green out of blue and better than blue) so i can proudly say that i am the Blue and you are the Green!!! *evil laughs*

~Joking~

But still thx for coming =) at least there is something done on 2 of the 28 days of my xmas vacation

lesson of the day --> "you see, you like, you buy"
Story behind the lesson learned:
Don't hesitate!! or else there goes your favourite pair of shoes!!!
learn from me leh...student ^_^ But i bet you will be better than me one day!!

At least my year 2006 ended in a very pleasant way (especially when u are not in the middle of the crowds at the london eye...i bet one will be squashed to death in that huge crowd of at least 10,000 people)

Greetings 2007=)
